Is it possible to make a 4 color process heat transfer? Or are the inks to thin to do that sort of thing?

As I am typing this, I keep thinking of problems with it, but something keeps telling me it's possible. Any thoughts?

Yes, it is possible. The paper type is critical as is the ink consistency which can be modified if necessary.
You'd deal with many of the same issues you would with direct process printing.

I'd say more issues(a little more) because of additional variables like the transfer media (as mentioned), adhesive, and heat pressing.
