Does anyone have experience with the 330TX Plus? I print on 100% poly 10% of the time and cotton/poly blends 90% of the time. How does the poly ink work on cotton/poly blends? The $250 price difference for a set of poly ink liters vs non poly seems like I should switch out the ink when I need to specifically print 100% poly.

When you see that a company is claiming polyester printing ability you may notice that many important factors are not stated. Washability and the actual printing process are two major elements in making a true statement. If you can get a print on polyester but after you wash it the image has faded or gone in under 25 washes then the product is not designed for this type of printing. You will be selling the final product so you do not want your customer coming back with wash problems after a few days. The process of getting the ink to work on poly is also very important. If you have to add 10 more steps or change the standard printing process you may be looking at a serious loss of production and profit.

With freejet 330 TX, no extra steps are needed and the washability is the best in the industry. The Gamut ink line comes included with all FreeJet 330TX Plus printers. Direct Ink Gamut Plus is made for polyester. This product that can be used professionally for all your garment printing needs.

Mikekaly,
Do you then change inks out when printing on cotton?
Gamut plus inks are designed to “set” faster which means you can take advantage of the one pass modes on your printer and no more waiting for the white ink to set before printing the color pass. Learn more here Direct Ink Gamut Plus: The Best Direct to Garment Ink on the market - Omniprint Online

Ultimately the cost difference of the 330TX/Dupont ink and the Gamut Plus ink is very small on a shirt-to-shirt basis. You would end up throwing away so much ink that there's no reason you'd want to change between inks.

At most, I've seen a 50 cent cost difference between the same design on the 330TX and the Plus, and that's going to be a big design with a lot of white ink going down.
No. The 330TX Plus is for poly and cotton poly blends. 330TX and 330TX plus are two different printers you can not switch inks.
I do no own but have done alot of research on the FreeJets and have talked to OmniPaul on the phone. The 330TX Plus can do 100% cotton, blends, and 100% Poly using the Gamut Plus ink. As for printer vs printer they are almost identical, the Plus obviously having some slight improvements as well as things like white ink circulation, Wurk software for organizing orders and processing the shirts easier. Plus is the way to go unless you can afford the Cheetah then you might want that but thats WAY out of my price range. Good luck hope this helps
The 330TX Plus can do 100% cotton, blends, and 100% Poly using the Gamut Plus ink.
I hope you've heard this from lots of people besides the vendor.

I recently purchased a 330 TX PLUS. When I came in to take a final look at it, I brought samples in of cotton, poly, blends etc with my OWN artwork and asked them all to be printed on, they did and after that I made the purchase.

How did they hold up in the wash?

I have friends with 330 TX PRINTERS and they have huge clothing brands that they print all there stuff with. They give me alot of clothing, and I wash it all the time and have no issues with it. As far as samples I did not wash (show clients) I'll be up and running by Monday with my printer so I'll be testing.
