Okay so I have this bizarre circle that appeared in the mesh of one of my screens.

I use the Microwash from Ryonet, let it soak, went to rinse it out and all but this 3 inch or so circle rinsed away, and it is no where near where the design was.

The screen wasn't laying down flat anywhere, and is hardly very old.

I attempted to use regular stencil remover, it did not budge.
Not with multiple haze removers, not with adhesive removers, not with dish soap. This circle is tough.

The Micro Wash is about 3 months old, and was just refreshed in the last few days. I hope this isn't another one of my bizarre situations that no one has had happen before.

Thanks!

you're saying the circle wasn't part of a prior design? Maybe it was something from the manufacturing of the mesh. Is it affecting the screen's ability to hold a design or wash out properly with a new coat of emulsion?

The circle was not part of the prior design I'm attempting to reclaim. I would think that would be a possibility, but the screen has been used for several months prior to this reclamation. It will not rinse out as I'm trying to reclaim the screen and rinse out the emulsion that was on it.

I would imagine so, considering there is a large area of my screen that still has exposed emulsion on it. :)
are you saying the circle is made out of emulsion? It's not clear what this circle is and whether it's emulsion that won't wash out and reclaim or just ghosting images from a prior print that wouldn't affect printing in the future. You should describe what the thing is or what it is doing (blocking mesh, discoloring mesh, preventing emulsion from washing out, causing emulsion to wash out), not just its shape.

Yes, it is solid emulsion.

If reclaimer is allowed to dry on emulsion and the screen isn't washed out promptly before this reclaimer+emulsion dries out, I believe emulsion is permanently locked into the mesh and won't break down anymore. It sounds like that might have happened. Was there a piece of tape that might have prevented water from washing out that circular area?

Not at all. It was rinsed out within seconds of being dipped in the micro wash. All tape was removed from screens prior to dipping.
