1st. my image is always displayed in the bottom left hand corner, and ends up being cut off partially, I have adjusted the paper size setting, but it always appears in the bottom left, how do I get it in the center?

2nd. How do I adjust the LPI settings to get larger, or finer dots, or change the degree or type of dots?

I am outputting to an epson 1400 printer.

I'm lost...

thanks in advance

The answer to both of your questions can be found in the print dialog box of whatever application you are running. Each application is different.

When printing separations though ghostscript, what you want to have is a postscript printer defined. Then based on that printer, define a page size. For the epson 1400, that would probably be "tabloid extra". The document being printed will center itself inside the page size (depending on dialog option).

Also within the dialog should be an option to set the LPI, angle and spot function.
