That's what we're doing. I've got the little Hopkings 4/1 set up in the warehouse, my only problem is the small tunnel dryer will be too slow. I'm thinking that the quartz heating elements they sell at RS work by radient heat, so don't really need to be in a tunnel, so if I was to split the dryer lengthways, and double the width by sleeving the rollers and extending the box frame, I could add some light gantry sections and hang a good numbr of heating elements off them, a sort of open top dryer.
Before you fellows think I'm blowing smoke up anyones behind, I was consultant engineer on Junkyard Wars/Scrapheap Challenge for 6 years, so have some fabrication tools and skills laying around.
A dryer like that would only work with plastisols of course, but would be cheap as chips and pretty flexible. Like a flash dryer over a moving belt. I'll post up how that goes. How do I get photo's up here? Do I have to post them online and link to a URL?
