Hi,

Need to run a small rush job with customer specified pantone 185C. I very rarely need to match colors exactly so wondering if some wonderful forum user could tell me if Wilflex 40000 scarlet is a close match? I also have Dallas Scarlet on hand - and a lot of other Wilflex Genesis inks.

I keep meaning to get a used swatch book, but because of the irregularity that I need it, i also keep putting it off :-( sorry for that.

You should talk to Wilflex and find out if they have an equivalent. Speaking from experience, if your customer calls out a specific Pantone, they usually need it to be close.

Im not sure what the scarlet you have looks like ...the scarlet I have from Ryonet is a closer match to pms 199c , I know that a 185c is a little darker than my scarlet red...... if that helps any?

Thanks guys! I'm going to go for it and will let the customer know that if it turns into a larger order, I'll do a match on it.
