My price would be $4.00, $6.00 for the plus sizes.

What your bid should be, I have no idea.
DNeeld,

May I ask where you are located, those prices are quite low, I assume you have lot's of competition?
We are located in a small town in Missouri. We are giving them free art and screen fees. Does anyone have a link to printing rates for screen printing prices?

Competition wise, no not really.

Its single side, single color. Only 45 minutes to an hour of work, all inclusive from screen burning to reclaimed and order boxed and out the door.
For 150 Dark shirts printed one color one side with light ink, i.e.. flashed.
Low end $5.70 for small to XL and $8.20 for XXL, $8.35 for XXXL
High end $7.00 S- XL and $9.85 for XXL
That's a wide range, but every shop has it's own pricing structure.

Here is a nice formula for pricing.
Check-In Charges + Item Cost with Markup + Decorations + Commission + Administrative Overhead = Price

Every shop has it's own costs, labor, overhead, markups, and profit margins, so there is no one price for every shop.
Hope this helps.
Thanks
Steve

Where do you get prices like that?
Where do you get prices like that?
I would assume the same place you do.

An analysis of cost, overhead, labor, and time needed to complete the job.

Unless you have a different way?
I have done a lot of research on pricing around the country.
I took over 50 price lists and after eliminating the way too cheap ones and the crazy high price ones, came with what a lot of screen printers charge for their printing.

There is an average price for all printers, halfway between the lowest and highest, but that price might not be the price MOST printers charge.
And where you are located, and the competition make a big difference.

I think a printer really needs to get the price they need to make a profit.
Knowing what your local competition charges is important, but having a higher price and better quality and better service will get and keep customers.
Understanding your costs is critical to getting the right selling price.

$5.58 / $7.58 per unit + $0.25 per unit for low bleed ink and $40.00 screens.
$4.75 each. $1.50 more for the larger sizes. And I'd ask if I could use 100% cotton instead. I don't like printing on 50/50 (but if I have to I will...)

I learned years ago, to listen to what the client wants.
If they say 50/50 then go with the 50/50. There are personal reasons people like 100% or 50/50 or 100% poly, and for me, if the client wants a specific type of shirt, why not.

I agree, but when a customer asks for 50/50 I usually ask them if there's a reason they prefer a blend. Often there isn't, they just saw 50/50 on a label and repeated it to you. I'll tell them that I can certainly get 50/50's but that most of my customers prefer the 100% cotton. 9 times out of ten they'll say they don't care, they just thought 50/50 was standard.

But if they do want 50/50's for whatever reason, I'm glad to print on them.
