Default I need advice about replacing parts of texjet plus advanced

I have a texjet plus advanced which caused me many problems. I can't find a solution to the last problem.

Some black ink enters the yellow damper. When you print any design with yellow in it it prints grey and then it prints nothing. I open the damper holder and yellow damper turned to grey.I think it's about the cleaning process and the black ink enters the yellow damper from the capping station. I couldn't handle it myself. I tried to handle it myself cause I have enough experience, thanks to the awful technical service of Polyprint turkey.

I bought a new ink system, a new printhead, a new capping station, a new yellow cartridge. I Called the technical service. They are far away like 500 km from my city. I live in Ankara by the way it's the capital.

They changed these parts and the problem is not solved. I thought it may be because of the pump. They said other colors are ok so the pump unit is ok. They called a person from Greece who said ''replace the ink system'' we changed 2 ink systems in a month. Still black ink in yellow damper. I gave up and put the machine on sale. But I'm not sure if the machine will work again even if we change all the ink related parts. Technical service couldn't find any solution and they usually lie about the process and parts. I lost a printhead because of them. It's another story.
Anyway I decided to try to use the machine again with hope to sell it in working condition.
I found an epson 3880. Texjet plus advanced is based on this printer. I think many parts are the same.

If I put all the ink related parts I'll get from 3880, if I change all cartridges, pump, capping station, ink system and head, Do you think I have a chance to work with it. May it be a technical mother board problem.
Also polyprint does not sell separately dumpers here in Turkey. They sell the ink system as one part. But they advise to change the dampers every 6 months. So you have to buy 2 ink systems from them in a year.

Dampers are 5-10$ on aliexpress I bought 20 of them in the past. They work without problem. The ink mixing occurred when I was using polyprint ink system (twice) Polyprint Turkey asks for 240 eur for ink system.
Is it the same on other countries? you can't buy dampers separately
Thanks in advance

Yeap! They used to be 3880 but the newer ones may be P800.
If you know for sure which one you have, then you can simply buy Epson parts... Not a problem.
Also try calling some Epson specialist repair shops near you and see if they are willing to help you.

Do you know how to test the dumpers with a syringe? If yes test the yellow one and see what happens.
Make sure your printer is in a stable temperature environment as well. When the temperature drops a lot strange things are happening.

Thank you Tabob
We use it in a stable environment. We also have a device that controls and change the humidity.
About the dampers I learnt to test them but as I said, same thing happened with 2 new ink systems

Hello,

Usually what you describe is an issue with waste from the capping station being pulled back to the head due to a faulty capping station.

In order to understand this better we will need pictures though and the sequence in which the parts were changed. We dont believe its electronic as you actually see that the yellow damper is grey.

The best course of action is to direct you to the Polyprint support team and we will coordinate the service with your local distributor. Please note that we can provide through our network only the dampers.

Please fill the contact form in at the link below to direct you to Polyprint Support.
