Hello 3rd Dimension,

we are sorry for your troubles but if you check our messages you will read that what we typed was " despite the machine is old, it should work."

We are still willing to help you and send a technician to check your printer. Please pm the country of your residence to inform your closest distributor.

We have exactly the same problem as in this thread:

https://www.t-shirtforums.com/texjet/t319897.html

But we've swapped the ink tanks, assembly, and printhead before. Everything is brand new including ink. After the third T-shirt printing, the white disappears.

What do you mean ink assemble you mean the ink system? Tubes and dampers?

Do the channels disappear completely or most of them but still have nozzles?

Yes i have changed the complete InkSystem with:
Tanks and the Ink System Assy including the dampers and Tubes. (Spare part 151586)

The white Channel disappear completely. After the Power Cleaning the channels come back. I lost a lot of ink.

Hello Shirtexplorer,

we need some technician to take a look at it. Loosing channels completely during printing means that the ink is not supplied properly, but you have changed the parts that can affect this.

Was this the issue you had in the beginning and changed all these parts?

PS what inks are you using?

The reason was dried white channels including tanks and a dried printhead.
We have already changed the printhead and the ink supply this year in January. Cost 1600 €

In August we had the same problem, but I had no desire to invest 1600 € again. That's why I ordered the parts myself from the Epson dealer and your dealer Schulze. We only print with Polyprint inks.

I am extremely pissed because I put only money in the machine and earn nothing with it.

Hello Sir,

We can understand your frustration but we strongly recommend for a trained technician to check the printer. As the required parts was replaced recently we have to check if they are assembled properly and if one of them is not working as intended. We will Pm you the contact details of the Germany distributors.

and here we go again... it has to be the users fault not the machine. the guy changed all the print system of the printer everything!!! and you tell him to send over technician to pay you again?
Your machines are very poorly made my friend. the inks especially the white are not designed for this type of print heads. cleaning and more cleaning again and money down the drain. WE pay for this not you and of course it is some how our fault.

Thanks, i know all distributors in GER. I will check the hardware next week, and the last way is bring the machine to berlin. i should open a office in berlin, so i spend not so much time with travelling.
But in fact i have read a lot of threads in this texjet forum, but there are a lot with the same problem. Is it possible that this is a general ink problem? A specially the white?

As this is an end user forum, it's mostly to find a solution when you have an issue. it doesn't represent the general situation. Polyprint is using the Dupont white ink, a major company in the filed.

Lightbulb Re: texjet 4800 loosing random white channels

Update:

After I have completely disassembled the machine again and finally exchanged the capping station, the machine runs perfectly. It was finally at the capping station which no longer perfectly sealed on the printhead. Now is pressure on the white ink tanks. By the way, cheap capping stations are available here
Polyprint likes this.
