Default How is the image on this t-shirt printed

Hi everyone,

New to the forum and this is my first post.

I'm thinking about dipping my toes onto t-shirt printing for the first time. I will be using mainly sublimation for my t-shirts, which leads me to this newbie question.

I was under the impression that normally, you cannot print the colour white using sublimation; the white comes from the subsurface, or if you're using a coloured t-shirt, where white would be, the colour of the t-shirt shows through. If that's the case, can someone explain to me how the image on this t-shirt was produced please:

As you can see, it shows white of parts of the print. It doesn't look like a vinyl image or a screen printed image, but maybe I'm wrong.

EDIT: this could of course be a heat transfer paper images. If that's the case, could anyone recommend the best type of HTP to go for?

Does not look like transfer paper. Probably DTG or screen print.
