Default accidentally used wrong ink

I just printed and flash dried a bunch of shirts with speedball water-soluble ink made for paper and cardboard. Is there a way for me to make it permanent?

This is common mistake apparently...
Saturating the printed areas with clear fabric medium should work (in theory), but good luck registering printed shirts with the screen.
I say in theory because this would basically be the reverse of what I do with DTG. I print over a screen-printed base.
Industryps likes this.

Thank you, I've determined I can wash the wrong ink out, so that's what I'll do. Then reprint with the right ink.

Do you do the screened base for better opacity? That's a pretty good idea actually!

I do it because for me it's the only sane way to print. Having a screen-printed base makes DTG like printing on paper.

1. No preteratment, and no withe ink needed in the printer.

2. Printing on a black shirts is exactly the same as printing on whites (I use clear base).
3. Much lower cost (just a few cents per print).

4. No washability issues.
Not a new idea by the way...
