Default How to optimize .png's for digital direct on black?

Hi there.

We're just starting up a spreadshirt shop and ordered a test of a full-color digital print.

It didn't really turn out as i hoped.
Looks VERY washed out and i would like some tips on how i can improve the graphic.

Spreadshirt should have a photoshop template with a filter where you can toggle a preview of how much the contrast levels and CMYK conversion changes your graphics. Or atleast some pointers on how to make one for yourself.

Now it feels like i just have to trial and error and that will be kinda costly...

Check out a jpg of the original graphic here:

http://www.satariel.com/spreadshirt_test/graphic.jpg

(original is 3000*4000 and has transparancy but only around the edges of the graphic)

And a photo of the printed T-Shirt here:
(large download!)

Also, how does spreadshirt handle transparancy?
Can i do long "transparancy fades" on this particular graphic, so that the black parts aren't actually printed?

IE: Do they handle transparancy other than 100% or 0%?

I apologize that I am getting to this now, as we really didn't keep up on forums as much as we should. But i'm trying to change that and give us a better presence online in the forums. We have a cmyk chart of how the colors look on your screen comparable to shirt print. Would this help alot of the mist in the air. This can be a hot topic as the colors vary when they print , and even more depending on what garment and color.
