I called Spreadshirt and they said that in the holiday rush they have been substituting some DTG shirts with transfers. I, apparently, was the unlucky recipient of two of these shirts.

They are offering to reprint the shirts, but I think I’m going to ask for a refund, return the shirts, and print somewhere else. If they needed to change the process to meet orders, I wish they would have contacted me so I could have immediately canceled and printed elsewhere (I ordered the shirts at the beginning of the month!).

I wasn’t able to find another DTG shop that could print in such short notice before the holidays. I’ll have to give these shirts as gifts, explain why they look shoddy, and then take them back so I can return them to Spreadshirt.

Not a happy camper…

I have to keep telling myself that! The perfectionist in me doesn’t want to let it out.

One more day and FatKatz would have been able to save me. I’m still grateful and amazed by the community response.

I wasn't aware of when he purchased from Spreadshirt. We were asked this week so i thought he just purchased the shirt recently. So if he purchase at the beginning of the month thats 3 weeks WOW.

Not true, the well defined edge is caused by the cover sheet when heat pressing over the preferment. If the pretreatment is not applied evenly it can take on different shapes. I have seen this happen on shirts I have pressed.

I have never seen a hard defined edge with pretreatment unless it's on the edge of the heat press platen or the edge of the sheet. If the the cover sheet was cutout then I understand, but who cuts a coversheet to mask the image. If it was a square or rectangle edge, I can understand. But again, in this situation, I mentioned the only logical explanation was it's a transfer and that was the end result.

I'm just sayin......
