Marcus

All seems to have settled down just now but I'll save your solution for the future.

Thanks for taking the time.

Re: Considering a used Neoflex

I would expect to change the lines, the dampers and the printhead as a minimum. Possibly the ink bays too. It's not a difficult job and relatively inexpensive - the prinhead is going to cost you...

Re: Considering a used Neoflex

The Neo 1 is a great machine. You would definitely need the Kothari NeoRip and the protection dongle. You probably need a computer with Windows 7 to use it as I don't think it works with Windows 10....

Re: Neo 1 issues

Have you checked that the ribbon behind the printhead is in it's sensor? The encoder strip.

Re: Epson Adjustment Utility?

I might try re-installing the Adjustment Wizard program as it might offer a connection option during install.

My Neo is working great otherwise and I'm trying not to switch it off :) Of course I...

It doesn't appear physically broken but when connected to a USB port nothing happens at all.

Epson Adjustment Utility?

Hi all NeoFlexers :)

For some strange reason the USB connector on my NeoFlex no longer functions so I have been using the network port for quite a while.

I need to reset the Powerclean bit...

Re: Keeping the Printhead WET to Prevent Clogs?

Maybe :)

When Justin Choi showed me, we used cleaning solution & a food film to stop it draining away.

It would be great if we could find a way of keeping the heads from clogging without all...

Re: Keeping the Printhead WET to Prevent Clogs?

Yes, it does draw some of the cleaning solution up into the printhead, I tried it yesterday for just a few hours! It's easily cleaned out with a few cleans or even by printing a few squares of white...

Re: Keeping the Printhead WET to Prevent Clogs?

Thanks for the reply :)

I do remember Justin of AA showing me the method you've described but with one difference - prior to filling the capping station with 'cleaning solution' he lined it with...

Re: Leaving the Printhead in Cleaning Solution?

Thanks James,

My issue is that I don't have the time to use or even clean my Neo each and every day just to keep the whites flowing - I'm NOT a fulltime printer :)

So I was looking for an...

Re: Delaying Colour Pass after White?

Here's the answer :)

Drying Time before Colour

There is a setting in the RIP that allows you to delay the printer's return to the home position. there is also a setting that slows down each...

Delaying Colour Pass after White?

Hi guys,

I used to know the answer to this but now can't find it!

When my NeoFlex has printed the white pass the printer immediately returns and prints the colour pass. Usually this is not a...

Re: Keeping the Printhead WET to Prevent Clogs?

Thanks Uz27, very interested to hear what's working for you :)

I have a few questions if you don't mind.
1. What printer are you using?
2. What is 'Docking Solution'? Any links?
3. What is your...

Re: Building a Neoflex 1 (4880) from 2 Printers

I did think of doing the same Nils but when I examined the 'donor' printer, there were to many changes to make, some were obvious but I was afraid I'd miss some of the les apparent ones!

I...

Re: Building a Neoflex 1 (4880) from 2 Printers

Hi Nils

I think there were quite a few hardware changes made to the Epson 4880 printers before they were used on the NeoFlex (original) platform. I'm quite sure the firmware was re-programmed.

Re: Print Head Supplier (4880, F187000, F186000)

What price did you have to pay Nick?

When I first had my NeoFlex & NeoSol a printhead cost £176 :) - had to provide the serial number to Epson before they'd release one.
