Re: Looking for organic cotton or bamboo t-shirts

Most of the main distributors have a good organic range, from lots of brands.

Open an a/c with BTC Activewear, Absolute Apparel,Pencarrie or Ralawise and order some samples to find what best...

Re: Pigment instead of EcoSolv?

That HP will only be good for indoor banners, posters and signs. If you have a market for that sort of work at 24" then Canon ( Image prograf TA20 - dye ink) and Epson ( SC-T3100N - pigment ink) sell...

Re: Icc profile search

Not the sort of thing you buy in a retail store.
An ICC profile isn't a software package. It is a set of instructions that your design software sends to your printer that adjusts the printed colours...

Re: Pigment instead of EcoSolv?

:D:D:D

That printer is a pigment ink printer ( in the usually understood meaning of the term).

Very good printer, if you have a use for it.
I don't think you will find transfer paper for...

Re: Printing all black text problem

A good quality film that is specifically for making screen printing transparencies will hold enough ink. Cheaper stationar store transparencies won't.

Well worth the extra money.

Re: ICC profile epson et l130

Download the free trial and see if it does what you want it to do.
You will still need to get a custom ICC profile made for your ink/paper/printer combination for each printer. Your inks supplier...

Re: Pigment instead of EcoSolv?

What inkjet printer do you have at home or work? If it uses pigment ink then buy a small pack and try it. Forever sell various sample packs of their paper, and MDP Supplies sell their own paper and...

Re: Pigment instead of EcoSolv?

Not even close.
Pigment inks and paper can be used, but they are not a long term solution. They have their place, but that is mainly for partywear and low use items. The print starts to deteriorate...

Re: Printer purchasing advice needed

More inks than you probably need for sublimating onto fabric. It would also involve using a Ciss system, which isn't as convenient as eco tanks.

Alex did do some extensive testing with a 9...

Re: Printer purchasing advice needed

I don't quite understand your question. Sublimation inks are ( largely) CMYK. The ICC compliant software is needed to compensate for the colour shift that occurs when you press the inks. With a good...

Re: Issues with HTV

It makes sense to do that.

If you buy on your credit card (not debit card, and not through a paypal payments gateway) you will be covered by the Consumer Credit Act. That means that the credit...

Re: Printer purchasing advice needed

The ET 2750 would be a good option, with no need for a ciss or refilable cartridges.
To print accurate colours you will need to instal an 'ICC profile' onto your computer. This will adjust for the...

Re: Issues with HTV

The pressure needed for HTV is far higher than you can consistently apply by hand.

£200 is a difficult price to recommend anything. Some presses at that price work well, but it is entirely luck...

Re: Want to start screen printing!

I would start with a simple one colour kit, to see if you can get the hang of it. If it works out you will only need a couple of jobs to get your money back, and can look for something bigger/...

Re: Issues with HTV

Hello and welcome to the forum.
The Cricut is better than an iron, but not as good as a proper heatpress. The decision between swingaway or clamshell is down to your available space. Swingaway is...

Re: Exposure Unit Light Bulb

That is about the size you need for a reasonable exposure. The single LED 50w versions don't have enough power.
There are 300w versions of those lights with 6 leds ( 2x3), but the UK price is a bit...

Re: Exposure Unit Light Bulb

Are you using a 500w halogen work lamp?

The highest bulb you will easily find is 3200/3300k,. Depending on screen size/proximity/emulsion you will looking at 6 mins upwards for a GOOD exposure....

Re: Some emulsion dots left in the stencil?

Do the dots of emulsion correspond with hole in you original image?

Dust or crud on the glass can lead to emulsion not exposing properly.
