Well I wanted to try an aluminum tray, but I don't know anyone that does aluminium fabrication to get a tray made up. I don't really know where to start on that. I wanted to make up a "working"...

I wasn't asking anyone to apply 42V to the motor, I was asking for a measurement coming from the mainboard TO the motor when it pulses on.

If anyone has a dismantled 1400 or 1800 that they can power on (I can't power mine on at the moment) and possibly measure the voltage, it seems to me that 42v seems extremely high, I know it...

It looks like I won't need to replace the motor at all, I tested the tray movement at 12V - it stalled, I tested it at 24 and it moved it all the way, so at 42 it should have more than enough torque...

Does anyone have the load specs or any information on the paper feed motor for the Epson 1400, I found that my particular take on the design requires a higher torque motor. Or even if anyone knows...
