Re: Pigment instead of EcoSolv?

It is confusing because there are no naming standards, so manufacturers use whatever they think sounds better.

All pigment inks are actually latex emulsions, but before I confuse you any further,...

Re: Printing all black text problem

That's because the film you are using cannot hold the amount of ink applied. I personally prefer laser printers and never had a problem.

Re: Print subli light no cut pops/bulging out:(

I don't see the problem. These are good prints.
You probably just forgot to do the final pressing to flatten the fabric.

Re: Pigment instead of EcoSolv?

The correct terms would be "solvent based" vs "water based" and both can be pigment inks.
In addition to that, the term "water-based" is referring to the carrier, but not all water-based inks are...

Re: Print subli light no cut pops/bulging out:(

If it is sublimation ink, then OK.

The ICC profile is for color matching. It does not help with the transfer itself.

It's hard to understand what the actual problem is in words, AND this is...

Re: Print subli light no cut pops/bulging out:(

I noticed you have not mentioned the inks... You need dye sublimation inks for this paper.

Re: Hotronix Fusion - Has Power No Heat

They are generic components, so you can buy from elsewhere for less than $1. All you have to do is remove them to find the model number and rating.
If you do this way, then note that thermostats...

Either the triac (number 38) or the thermostat (74).
Those are common failures in all heat presses.

Re: Vacuum blanket

How about raising the glass so it can seal directly with the blanket?
This should work.

Re: Saving ink on the f2100

Closer to A3 size prints I would say.

That's probably correct in CMYK mode, but if you print dark shirts 70p will buy you around 1.5ml of white ink, and that's not going to cover much.

Re: F2000 - white 3/4 missing - any new info?

Yeap...

Filled with white ink since March? It's not going to work unfortunately.
You can clear nozzle plate clogs or partly clogged ink passages, but when the passage gets clogged completely...

Re: Exposure Unit Light Bulb

That's true.

Ten years ago you could easily get the 6500K ones from the hardware store.

Now everything is LED, but I think these should work too.

Re: Vacuum blanket

The point is to make something that will last more than a couple of times. As shown in the link I've already posted, these have a moulded seal over the blanket. Probably dome on purpose to make...

Re: Exposure Unit Light Bulb

Most likely you bought the wrong light bulb.
A 500W 6500K halogen bulb will expose screens in 20 to 30 seconds.

Re: Exposure Unit Light Bulb

That would be 20 seconds, Not 20 minutes.
The exposure units don't lose power if they are not used.
My guess is that the old emulsion had expired, but you somehow managed to expose it after 40...

Re: Wholesale poly t shirt material Canada

Nope... the "bug" is still there.
The admin has to update the BBcodes to https... Nobody is using http any more.
If you remove the "s" from the URL it will work, but then the video doesn't load....

Re: Vacuum blanket

It's hard to tell from the photo what type of screws these are, or where the glass ends.
I've never seen an exposure unit that doesn't seal directly over the glass, so I did a google search and...

Which is what any decent person would do.
However, if people get sick and turns out to be because of the inks, who's fault will it be?

Re: Help with Screen

You have way too much emulsion on that screen.
Also ideal drying conditions are 40C /105F and low humidity (around 25).
Screens will dry in 20 minutes this way.
