Default cutStudio win10 issues

Hi from Greece
I update my windows to 10 and I can't open files from cutstudio unless the file is in desktop.
If the file is anywhere else in my hard drive I get the error massage "C:\Users\*\*.cst contains an incorrect path.".
If I transfer the file to desktop I can open it
Also when I try save a new file I can save it only in desktop.
Do you have any idea why does this happens?
Thank you

Reinstall your cutStudio (overwrite the old installation).

Or,

Remove the old installation and reinstall cutStudio.

Something wrong in your Windows registry during the updating of your Windows.

This manual helps in most cases:
- unistall CutStudio
- manually delete everything about CutStudio from your Windows registry.
- remove everything about CutStudio from Documents folder manually
- restart your Windows and install CutStudio software

I tryed something more dramatic.
I formated my pc and reinstall the windows.
After that I instaled the cut studio but no luck again.
Searching the net i found that sometimes a program chooses wrong path on C drive to do the installation so you have to check where it is going to do the installation.
I check that too and it's ok but the problem remains

Does it work correctly if you use "Import" instead ?

Unfortunately import dos the same think.
Works only if the file is on desktop.
If I remove the files on desktop I can open or import them,
But when I am trying to open or import them from anywhere else, from one of the three internal disks, I get the same error

Yes!
I tried from the very first version until the last update 3.10 of CutStudio one by one.
I thought that my disk has some problem but I keep backup from all my file to a second internal disk.
The problem remains with the backup files too

Have you used Win10 Disc Manager to make sure all of your drives are setup correctly ?

I don't use CutStudio for design like you, so I just created a design that I saved to both the C Drive & my G Drive as a .cst file.

The C drive file will open within CutStudio without issue but the G Drive file will not, however if I close CutStudio completely & then double click the G Drive file directly CutStudio opens and the file displays perfectly.

So it seems the CutStudio software is setup for it's .cst files to be saved & accessed only on the C Drive from within CutStudio, which means there's likely nothing wrong with your pc.

You are right!
But this is strange because I use CutStudio the last 10 years with win7 and always I store my files to other drives than C.
Reading your post I thought something else...
I am Greek and many times I give names to folders, subfolders and filenames with Greek letters.
I found that with win10 if there is a Greek letter somewhere in the filenames path the CutStudio will not be able to open the file even if the file exists in C.
So, I replaced all the path name and the file name of cst with English letters and file opened correct from disk D or any other disk.
With win7 I never had this issue...

Solved!!!
CutStudio is non unicode program so I had to change the settings for non unicode programs from language settings.
I set the non unicode program settings to Greek language and now evetything is back to normal!
Thank you very much guys !!!
