Yeah thanks Deana. but if you'd check their website you'll realize why I and many others wont utilize their services... Not having a go at them directly but when they are charging $150 per 220ml cart white and $130 per cmyk cart there's no way I'm buying at that price. $1120 for a full set when I can get a full set sent from the USA delivered to my door in 3 days for $605 (including freight) Somethings doesn't add up.

Try using a little more pressure on the heat press

Which heat press do you have? I've found that the geo knights or hotronix presses work best with foil application.

My Press is from Heat Press Nation. its a pretty good quality i even tried turning up the pressure and it didn't seem to make any difference, I'm sure it has something to do with my process, as my designs always seem to come out faded and Grainy. but the preloaded anajet images or some others iv downloaded come out great

In my experience the heat press nations don't have sufficient amount of even pressure to efficiently adhere the foil. I'm sure it's not your process, it's the heat press.

Default Re: Foil printing

Pressure is very important to foil transfer. More is usually better. There is a point on most presses when you can push foil into the pre treat as well as the graphic. When you reach that point just reduce the pressure slightly. It does take a little experimentation to get it right but the end result is well worth the effort.
I have attached a photo of a foil print I did while visiting an mPower owner in Denver. This was done on an mp10 using a Geo Knight press.

MZDEELO is correct about that particular heat press. The problem I believe is the bottom platen cushion is too spongy. I know of someone in Oregon that has the same heat press and they could never do a great foil print.

I've also noticed that since its a foreign made heat press that the voltages are not stable. Even though it says said degree, prints that are pressed with this brand of heat press come out a little more de-saturated.

if you are questioning about your RIP settings in general, please share your graphic and rip inquiries on this thread here:

Can you put something firm down on the soft table before you press? Maybe plexiglass or wood. Would be a shame to have to find a new press.
