Default Head Scratcher

Hi Everyone,

Quick question - would it ever be feasible for the yellow lines in the printhead to block up, but all of the other colours left perfect?

As it's the further most right on the cap, I replaced the station thinking it could be low suction, but to no avail.

Would it be feasible for air to just get into one of the lines randomly?

Thanks for any input!

So do you see air bubbles in your yellow ink line? or is there a yellow line on the print head?

for a second their I thought your head was getting scratched as in print head :P

Sometimes the Yellow can just stop working and you need either 1 or 2 headcleans or a powerclean, but usually it's because air gets in the system,

Not knowing what printer you are using, will cover some possibilities.
As mentioned, air in cartridge; cartridge passage plugging; small passage for yellow in the block that attaches to the head dampeners is plugging; head dampener for yellow is plugging; passage in head is plugging.
As you become more familiar with your unit you will find checking the routing is fairly simple although a pain.

Hi,

Have you tried flushing the yellow channel with the head out of the printer to make sure it is not blocked. If the head is brand new it should be ok but if you are using a used head I would be checking this first.

Hope you get it sorted.

Regards

Colin
