Default R Jet 5 Yellow ink not printing

I am new to Printing and I bought a second hand Resolute Printer R-Jet 5. I kept playing with it and I messed it and I think I clogged my previous head. As new was out of my range, I purchased a Second hand Printhead. Since I put it in, The yellow ink does not even go into printhead and it does not print either. Same way two white nozzles are also blocked. I did power cleaning 3 times, but not so much luck.

Also when I command Nozzle check command from printer, it does not print nozzle check but bold lines. While when I send command from RIP, it does nozzle check. Anyone can suggest me what is the possible way to resolve this issue. I attach nozzle with this post. Hopefully this forum will help me to get out of this misery. please check link for nozzle test.

Hi,

The nozzle check from the rip is the correct print, if when you select a nozzle check on the printer it is blocks or a different pattern the settings in the printer are wrong. These can be found in the manual originally supplied with the printer.

It looks like the channels not printing are already clogged, if ink cannot get to the head you either have an air leak or the second hand head is not working correctly.

We do offer on-site training which I think you would benefit from, at the same time the technician could go over your printer and see what is wrong.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Colin

I checked with few friends and they told me your services are too expensive to carry out. They also did not recommend your after sale services either as per them the charges you put are double than market rates.

Can you please let me know what do you charge for training and diagnosis as well? Thanks

I would be very interested to find out which market rates you are referring to and what they actually are?

Please feel free to call the office and ask for me if you would like to discuss this in detail.

I was just trying to help you as you.

I have been printing for 7 years, all my printers are RJET's and nothing is easy, the machines will work but parts will need replacing especially second hand machines, luckily resolute have good customer service and can pretty much solve any problem you have, they do charge a lot for a brand new head but it's not quite double the price and I'm pretty sure it includes the cost of installing it. Some parts can be bought from ebay cheaper, but there are a lot of differences.

For example the dampers, resolute use official dampers and primed I believe, where as you can get chinese dampers for a much cheaper rate, I have used them before and I usually find that 7 out of 10 will work, sometimes you get a bargain and other times the colour will stop working.

Since you are new I would recommend going with resolute to get started, over the years we have learnt our own techniques to helping maintain our printers but there are always new errors that come along and baffle us.

Print heads can be cheap, or they can be too cheap I wouldn't pay more than £1000 for a print head and i wouldn't pay less than £700 either as there are loads of FAKE sellers. I have my own supplier for print heads but I won't be sharing as they have limited stock.

Also it can be very costly when you are a beginner, so unless of course you are one of the lucky ones where nothing goes wrong, be prepared to get your wallet out

I've never used that machine it's not part of the resolute brand, do your waste ink tanks have chips on them?

Also sometimes with the RJET the waste ink tank is undetected, and you need to just wiggle the tank a little bit or pull it out and push it back in to get it to read the sensor, think you will have to go to the manufacturer to get a positive answer.
