Default struggling with black t shirts wash quality

Hi Guys

been using rjet 5 for over a year now no big problems with it but have only been printing light shirts, last few weeks have been trying the black shirts with white ink, they print great but the ink washes off very badly after first few washes, any advice? i have varied amounts of pretreat, and am curing at 165 degree for 180 seconds, some images below after first wash

Hi Andrew,

That looks fairly straight forward, do you have an R-Jet 5 purchased from Resolute?

Regards

Colin

You might try what we have found works very well on black shirts.
Pretreat and air dry
Press for 30 sec. at330 with kraft
print
hover at 1/8 inch at 330 for 90sec
teflon and barely touch for 30 sec
med/heavy pressure 20 sec This sets the ink into the fiber
lift to barely touch for 10 sec
use 10 sec touches until excess moisture is gone and there is no smell of ink.

It seems time consuming but the result is very good and goes quicker than it looks on paper.
