Default Service Error 00010035 RJET-4

Service Error 00010035, RJET 4 , (EPSON 4880)

I have yet to use this printer, I'm getting one step closer each time, this is a second hand printer therefore i don't know how long its been sat clogging /drying up for. ..

I got chips for the cartridges, so I managed to get one step further with that, then i cleaned the capping station and the head, following the Resolute video on youtube.

It then gets ready to start something and stops with the ERROR message.

I can't get to the CLEANING option in the menu because it doesn't let me get past the error message .

Any advice? what else do i need to clean or flush out?

Cheers
Rachel

My advise is to go and get trained how to use this printer.

You have had this printer for a long time and still have not printed with it ... you need training.

Your guess work is way of learning about the printer is not working.

I know.. I have been busy so I've actually only looked at it a few times.

If it were a newer model, and was something I had paid for I would definitely go and get training.

But because its a dated model, I'm struggling to get any answers on the internet, so I think I will see if I can get someone out to service it for us.

Either way do you actually know what the error is?

From what I remember it's related to the capping station assembly. If the printer was dormant for a while then it could be that ink has dried around some of the cogs etc or it's not seated correctly. If it has been not in use for a while then your best course of action would be to replace it.

If it has been replaced then there are a couple of things which can cause the error such as the station not being seated correctly, there is also a little plastic tab that sits behind a metal rail, if that's not positioned correctly then the error get's thrown up.

Bottom line is I would get in touch with Resolute to get some training/service because if you're not familiar with the operation then not doing things correctly with maintenance etc will only cause you more grief in the long run.

You could also remove the spit tray, and check the small plastic gears underneath. A buildup of ink may have caused one of these gears to slip off its shaft. I have a 4800, and one of the gears there has no retainer on the shaft. I have not had that happen but known of others that have.

It has to do with your pump which might be dried out. I would definitely replace the entire capping station assembly.

Service REQ 00010035
Error Meaning:
Pump phase detection error
Cause of Trouble:
Pump position cannot be detected even though the Pump Motor turns at the designated amount, or the Pump Phase Sensor is damaged. Or power supply fuse for ASF/Pump Motor Driver is broken on main board.
Remedy:
Check whether or not recovery can be done by turning power OFF and back ON. If error recurs, replaced the Pump Phase Sensor. Or replace the C593 MAIN board.

... or better is to send the printer to Resolute for a service.

Being a second hand printer, I'm not sure if Resolute supports it or not. Some DTG manufacturers don't support used printers unless they were certified by the manufacturer during the sale.

On the 4800, the spit tray is located right next to the capping station. catches waste ink and drains it into the waste ink tank through a piece of tubing attached to the bottom of the spit tray.
