Default R-Jet 5 In-line printing

Just to let every one know my R-jet 5 is working great i absolutely love it, great print quality and fast with easy maintenance. I can not wait to get the In-line printing, where is prints the white underbase and prints the color in one pass. Looking forward to it . Also i will post pictures soon, just been a little busy at the moment with orders , not a bad thing. I have included a link i found on you tube showing the R-jet 5 with the in-line printing in action. This is a must see. Its going to be a great update.

Colin, will this be the rip upgrade you referred to or will the hardware also require upgrading?

Hi Mark,

It's a two stage upgrade, 1st will be the new RIP which offers a host of new features. Second we ad into the rip/printer the ability to in-line print. We do his entirely by remote access to both parts.

The inline printing is working, we have a small bug to fix which is only to do with ejecting once the print is finished. The new RIP will be available in approx 4 weeks, the in-line will be available as soon as we solve the last bug. It only works on the new RIP, in answer to your question yes this is the new RIP I mentioned. It is a major upgrade & we are very pleased with it.

Regards

Colin

Thanks Colin, look forward to it, sounds like it will make a significant increase to print speed.
I'm interested in putting together a database of optimum settings for different brands of garments to help minimise wastage and ensure quality reproduction of designs. Obviously this would be better to start once the new rip is available, would you be able to help compile and share this with the help of other rejet 5 users?

Of course we will help, its a very good idea. Once compiled it will make setting up a job a lot quicker. When the upgrade comes live we can discuss the details then.

Hi, No problem.
I need to get a software tech to login to your PC and perform the upgrade for you. Can you please confirm when you downloaded the software, if not I will send you a link to the newest version.

This will be Monday morning/UK afternoon time for the upgrade, is that ok.

Let me know.

Regards

Colin

I would just like to add that I have updated the rip a couple of months ago and am over the moon with everything, the rip , the staff , and the printer. Andy ,Becky , Colin and Vince are all extremely helpful , knowledgable , and willing to guide you through any problem , big or small.
Before committing to this machine after viewing it in last years fespa trade show, I was worried and cautious as I had heard a lot of negative press about dtg's. But without exaggerating I must say that this is one of the best descisions I have ever made.
The rip is easy to use, the printer is stress free, and low maintenance , and the results are fantastic.
I am now thinking of buying a R Jet i3, I'm not even sure if I need it, but I miss my RJET 5 when I'm at home and it's in my workshop!

It's very easy to prepare the image for inline printing. I use photoshop and send the image directly to the printing software as a psd file. Then the printing software will take care of all the rest.
