Default Trying to Determine Type of Printing Method

I can't say how many hours I have spent the last couple months reading posts trying to learn as much as I can about the heat pressing world. I appreciate this website and all of the information I have gained so far! However, I do have a couple of questions that I just can't seem to find the answers to. My end game is that I am looking to put some cute sayings and simple-ish graphics on throw pillows, 100% cotton (duck canvas).
On Etsy, I see others with 100% cotton or 100% linen pillows advertising that their graphics are not vinyl, but the cloth is dyed with water based inks and will not fade or peel. So, when this is advertised -- does this mean they are printed via DTG, do paper heat transfers meet that description? I don't believe it's sublimation since it's not polyester, but I have seen posts on Reveal S papers...is that what this is?
I greatly appreciate any help!!!

Most likely DTG or screen prints. Definitely not sublimation and heat transfers aren't the greatest for washability, I don't care what anyone says.

No kind of transfer. As said, DTG or screen print. DTG ink is water base. Water base is one kind of ink option for screen printing, and what I use. When printing on light colored fabric, you can get to basically zero hand feel after a wash. Prints on dark fabric will always have some hand feel because an opaque white underbase is required--unless discharge inks are used.
