The Image clip paper is a Cold peel but the white toner on our clear hot peel paper is a HOT PEEL.

Hey there,

I bought the M452dw and use it with Forever Dark and Ghost Toners. It works just fine. I even used it on wood and metal. Since those worked fine I'm now ordering a bunch of different papers from Forever.

I'm ordering Sublimation to Cotton (will print with WF-7720), they have a multi-surface one designed for mugs, wood, etc. that can be printed full color and they have a metallic version where you just print black. They have transfer foil so you can combine foil with your prints and Flock for raised/feel effects.

I got the printer when it was $300 last year, right now it's almost $600 on amazon. If you shop around you may be able to find it around $300.

Any issues that may arise are mostly from the heat press, you need consistent, accurate temps and pressure. The type of graphic also matters, try to avoid gradients, but there are workarounds to achieve the look without the problems of low ink coverage. No paper jams or anything close to it.

From here the goal is to jump up to the Oki 9541WT, prints CMYKW all in one pass. It can even print roll media. Great for printing envelopes, invitations, and even prints in A3+!! (link below of product info), it costs around $11K, so save up.

I like DTG but for the $$$, Digital heat transfer printing is by far, way more versatile. I can print on anything a DTG can, plus much more! Even lower entry than Screen printing. It's a great starting point IMO.

luis, Do you have a license to print sublimation onto Dark cotton?
That process is a patented process.

Hello,

License from who? I don't think a process, in general, can be patented, just an individual's unique way of doing that process. The act of Printing for example, isn't patented, the unique way individual/companies print can be though (print heads, inks, papers, etc.).

How is what I described a patented process (I didn't even explain my process)? I have 2 ways of sublimating unto light cotton, and one way to do it unto dark (Forever Subli Dark No-Cut Glitter) the only downside is it has glitter, though I'm sure dark no glitter isn't too far behind.

You'd have to write to Forever GmbH to ask them how they do it, it's their paper after all, but I'm pretty sure they have their own patents.

As for the other ways I print and sublimate, I need no license from anyone. I didn't take someone's proprietary formula or machine, I literally purchased from industry suppliers and distributors.

I'm lost as to what you're referring to. If you don't mind, care in elaborating?
