Default Print and cut??

Ok, I am so new to this, and I have gotten a bit confused. So I know that you can get transfer paper (I got the Neena) to print designs and heat press them on a shirt.. using pigment inks in my Epson.. is that the same as print and cut? what is print and cut vinyl? is solvent and pigment ink the same? do I need a another printer for print and cut?... is print and cut.. printing a design then cutting it in my cameo, or do I need a whole new system for that? If I print on transfer paper does it print, or press the white I need in the design? please help!! thanks friends.

Default Re: Print and cut??

Print and cut is not the same as your inkjet transfer paper.

Solvent ink is completely different than pigment ink.

There are machines that can both print your design to printable vinyl and contour cut the design at the same time. They are not cheap. I want to say around $8,000 and up.

There is also vinyl that can be printed using pigment ink, then cut on a separate cutter machine. Your cutter would need an optical eye to do this. Not sure of the quality of the image after a wash or two.

If you need white using your transfer paper, you would need to use a transfer for dark clothing that has a white background.
