Default Why Yellow?

I have a Epson Stylus C66 and it only have 4 colors to it and for some reason, my Printer dont Print Red, it comes out yellow and that takes the look away from the T shirt. Am I doing something wrong?

With most modern printers you use what's known as "CMYK", which means you have a cartridge for Cyan (a light blue), Magenta (pink), Yellow (Yellow), Key (black). When you print red, the printer basically spits ink from each cartridge on top of itself to convert it to the other colors. Red is a maximum usage of yellow and a maximum usage of magenta on top of each other. Since you only end up with yellow, that means your magenta line is either clogged, empty, etc.

Things to try:
Printers generally have a head cleaning utility, as well as a "nozzle check". Head cleaning will drain ink from all the cartridges to try to clear clogs. Try doing a head clean once or twice, then do a nozzle check, the nozzle check should have all the aforementioned colors on it (yellow is sometimes hard to see). Most printers print out a dashed line, if your magenta starts coming out and is missing a few dashes, another cleaning should resolve it. If after 3 cleans it still isn't pulling any magenta, I'd consult Epson, or look into how to do a more thorough cleaning on the printer.

Do I need to play with the settings of the ink?

don't play with your settings just yet - do a nozzle check first and see if it's laying down any magenta. if it isn't, do as joe suggested and do some head cleanings. well actually, first i guess you should determine if your magenta cartridge has ink in it if it does, then start with the nozzle check LOL!

I did a nozzle check and noticed that the magenta is not coming out. I just got the Printer a few days ago and the ink yesterday.

The problem you have is most likely the Magenta ink line is not fully charged. Run a head cleaning and the run another nozzle check. See if that got the Magenta ink line charged. Otherwise, repeat the process till it does.

I'm back again! I did a nozzle check and head cleaned this printer until I had to buy more Ink. I have no idea what to do now. I saw a Epson Stylus 1400 refurb for $179. I'm thinking about getting that cause I dont know what to do now!
