Default Would plastisol be considered the same thing as screen printing

I had a customer who called for screenprinting. Is palistol considered the same thing? They also want to provide their own shirts. It is an order for 600. How much would be a good price to use an an estimate for this type of order. Usually we have shirts that we pay for ourselves.

Thanks
Diana

Plastisol is the type of ink used in screeprinting. So the answer yes. It is also used for custom screenprinted heat transfer. For 600 pieces you can order custom heat transfer for cheap and no setup fee. There lots of preferred vendors in the forum. Transfer express is one of them.

It's screen printing.

We don't like customer supplied shirts, they are normally crap and if you mess one up how are you going to replace it?

If a customer supplies shirts we charge the same profit margin as if we supplied the shirts.

So if you paid $3 for a shirt and marked it up to $6 we would still charge the $3 profit on each shirt. At that quantity we would not guarantee anything. If you mess one up or if the print washes off on the first wash it is on them. You don't know where the shirts come from, what they are made of, if they are seconds, have coatings like starch or teflon or have been re-dyed.

So, we would charge them 3.00 to put design on shirt? Or, 6.00. I am going to make the design from the wording they ask me to do.

I want your input. He just told me he has his private driver who will deliver and pick up shirts. He wants to distribute them to orphanages with other items.

So your artwork is mainly lettering. You are better off using vinyl.they are forwhite, light or dark shirts. Some vinyl has soft hand, feels like screen print. Will not crack or peel. But the number of overlapping layers are limited so that it do es not have a heavy hand feel.

Okay, the customer seems to be okay with the order. However, we asked 50% up front. We decided Paypal would be the best way. Howver, now he says he is having problems with his Paypal, square, Venmo processor. I asked him what alternative method he could use. He sent me this. Do you think this is a scam

Good choice asking for half up front. This deal just sounded weird.

A guy donating 600 T-shirts and a ton of other stuff to "orphanages" (I would have a hard time finding 600 kids in orphanages, does he have a charity name/501c registration?) should NOT be having trouble with all his payment methods.

SMELLS BAD

So far he has not yet asked for you to invest any real money.
Be patient, it's coming.
The game is afoot.

He will give you a CC, pay his bill and extra for the delivery driver and ask you to pay his delivery driver. Once you pay the driver you will never hear from them again but the CC will chargeback and you will be out the money.

Good Luck.
