Default One color Sepia

Hey everyone.

I'm looking to find a vendor that has a "sepia" off the shelf color that I won't have to order to be mixed custom.

I have a few ideas that I'd just like to test out to look like old tin type photos.

I know that a "real" sepia screen print is like five colors but I'm not looking to get that deep into it.

Does anyone have a color that they've used before?

Thanks a lot!

-Nick

I haven't used it and it isn't exactly what you asked for, but Jacquard Solarfast comes in Sepia. I think you need to mix in their thickening agent in order to screen print with it. You could also use it in the normal way. That could maybe give you the look you are after.

If you have a pantone color guide, look up the color you want and mix it yourself for testing. I've done 2 color sepia prints with shades of brown and copper and they worked well.

InkTek may be able to help you. If you give them a PMS C number/s they may be willing to mix a sample/s large enough to do your test with. (920) 202- 3840 ask for Nick Speaking from 45+ years of screen printing experience...Good Luck!

Thank you all for your responses!

Gulfsidebill, I've been seeing the name InkTek alot on the forums.

They are based in Wisconsin and in based just outside of Chicago so I thought I would contact them. I emailed them through their website and no one ever replied. And this wasn't just yesterday, it was months ago.
