Default Is there an emulsion that cannot be reclaimed, or a workaround

Strange question I realize.

I use the 23 x 31 screens on a semi-automatic. I only use part of the screen, but have to put emulsion on the whole screen. Is there a permanent emulsion or similar product that I could use across the middle of the screen (and maybe around the edges) then apply my regular emulsion on the ends that I actually use for my images. The regular emulsion would be claimed, and the permanent would remain.

Trying to cut costs here.

You can use emulsion hardner, which you just rub into your emulsion.
Or.... You could lock your emulsion in on purpose!

Thanks 20vk Emulsion hardener would still come out in the dip tank I would believe. (from what I am reading)

So to purposely lock the emulsion in, I would
1. Coat with emulsion
2. Spray with emulsion remover and leave to dry.

That about it?
