I know I am one of the ones that puts down Epson Pretreat but in all honesty it isn't that bad I have tried others and i landed on Firebird pretreat 5 or 6 years ago or so and I periodically try say Epson or Image armor or something else just to see and make up my own mind on but I honestly circle back to Firebird because it is usually cheaper and I have to use less of it to achieve the same results at higher laydowns with other pretreats. Plus Firebird is just a 15 min drive away from me so i got to tour their facility (I'm corny I like that stuff lol).
@BobSunday- For what it is worth everything Geno said in his post is right about costs (he beat me to it!) There are so many factors to consider and everyone forgets the maintenance costs because no matter the printer you will be purging some ink down the drain at some point or another and the F2100 isn't that bad in terms of maintenance costs I think the Brother GTX maintenance costs are a bit extreme there are to many consumable parts on it.
I would ask your 2 dealers how many ml's of ink is used in a cleaning cycle and ask how many cycles happen in a typical print day. for both printers and you may be surprised on your ink cost calculations.
