Default Re: Maintenance software

Congrats on your new "broken toaster". It will provide hours of annoyance and frustration followed by brief periods of joy and moneymaking. Think I'm joking? I have two of them...

Maybe someone should get the fruits of my suffering, here are my coveted links:

You need RIP software, get it here: Inkjet Printers, Color Profile Large Format Printer, RIP Software,Film positive,PDF Converter & PostScript - iProof Systems Inc.
V.06 is what runs an HM-1
Unless you have a removal code from the former owner, in which case, you go here:
Color accurate proofing with iProof Systems

If not, download it and use it with the watermark until you are up and successfully running.

The dongle is only used with the DTG maintenance disc, to do things like reset the waste ink setting, do you have that disc?

the manual:
Epson 2400 SSC service utility: SSC Service Utility for Epson Stylus Printer.

Buy ink and head here:

Epson™ R2400

Chinese source for capping station

Epson Stylus Photo R1800/R2000/R2400 Pump Assembly $41.66

Buy yourself a used, in working condition Epson 2400 on Ebay. make sure they guarantee it prints in all colors, a pic of a recent test print is the best assurance.
epson 2400 printer in Computer Printers | eBay
This will cost about 300 bucks, but should include a head that is cleanable and can be installed working, into your machine. Test print with it before taking apart. Salvage every part you can out of the Epson, many cannot be purchased any longer. A paper feed motor can stop you cold and cannot be found in inventory anymore.

With this info you should be able to get up and running.

Hope this helps you,

PS webmaster- might want to permalink this so I don't lose it myself!
