Hi Jerrid

Thanks for the info, I'll do it just before we close down for vacation.

Alex, there's a flushing method that can be done in about 10 minutes. Since you received it in June, you should have received a 5 point flushing system.

1. Disconnect Ink bags
2. Connect each line to the 5 point flushing tubes
3. Drop hoses in a bottle of clear ammonia (yes ammonia)
4. Disconnect one ink line from it's damper and attach the syringe to the ink line and pull ammonia through the line until clean. Reattach the tube and do this for all 5 lines.
5. Attach syringe to the maintenance tubing on the inside right of the machine. One controls all 4 white channels and 1 controls 4 colors.
6. Pull ammonia through and it will flush out the dampers, head and capping station. Probably about 3-4 full pulls of the syringe should do it. When finished with one of the lines, pull the tubing out of the ammonia and pull some air through so you know where the ammonia stops and the flushing solution will start.
7. Repeat with the second line
8. Disconnect 5 point flushing tubes and attach a bag of flushing solution and pinch off the 3 lines that won't be pulled through (on the color lines) and pull the flushing solution through. Repeat this for all 4 colors. Then do the white, obviously you could pull all 4 lines through at once.

You could also use a bottle of flushing solution to do this all at once if you had one available.

Re: Preparing our Mod1 for some Downtime

Hello

We are a print shop in Montreal, received our Mod 1 in June, and we couldn't be happier with it.

We are getting awesome prints, customers are happy, has really added a lot to our shop.

We are closing the shop for a much-needed 10 day vacation, first time in two years.

I'm wondering what we should do to prep our machine for 10 days without running.

Any thoughts?

Cheers
