Re: Epson 1400 Mods

the CDR sensor is either an open or closed switch. I forget which. My machine isn't available to me at this time but I think I just cut the wires and twisted them together.

Re: Epson 1400 Mods

Since I'm in both the Yahoo homemade_dtg group and these forums I am going to post this here as well... In order to prevent the CD-R sensor from tripping you have to remove the latch that tells the printer that the door has been opened. Opening the door is the start of the sequence that tells the printer you are going to print a CD-R...

If you have built a 1400 based DTG we would appreciate if you would share your finding here...

I removed the latch and the sensor, I also remove the paper sensor and still, when Isend something to print, it start, but then the printer head or ink stay on the left side of the printer and the ink and peper red light turn on
What to do?
Thank you

Re: Epson 1400 Mods

Anyone want to sell a working Epson 1400 DTG? (or convert mine for me)

I have a couple of these printers and would love to turn one into a DTG, but would be willing to buy one that someone has already converted.

Currently we do not do any DTG-only screen and sub.

Are you pretreating the shirts and heat pressing?

What ink are you using?

feel free to email me directly [email protected]

OK now. It looks like you are getting into a layman's version of something so we need lots of pictures and illustrations with explanations for this setup. How about it guys?
