Re: MH01 errors on M2

Dave. I have resolved the MH01 error ( sort of ). As I suspected it is a driver / software version error. Unfortunately it has been replaced with the printer now displaying ' converting ' while it is printing then locking the printer out at the end. After it has printed it goes through the cut cycle of the Mutoh process and shuffles the platens about after. In the printer menu the cutter is turned on. I have spoken to DTG support in the UK and I have been told not to change anything in the front panel as it will default the firmware back to original which I find hard to believe. For the sake of a day I will wait to contact them again to clarify this issue. Is there any chance you could check what your printer driver is installed as and if the printer settings have the cutter turned on in the media menu.

I am running win7 64 bit so dont know if there are any particular issues with this setup as my Kothari rip is an early version apparently and DTG had to send me a patch file. They also said it should use the Mutoh RJ900C driver but the printer displays a cpu error 16 [02] if I use that driver. It seems to default to a RJ901C where it is much happier even though the internal printer name is a RJ900/901 PRO.
Cheers

I have installed Kothari print pro along with the RJ printer drivers for my M2 which I purchased with a faulty head and in need of a bit of a refurb but otherwise working. Work done now when I try to print I get a choice of two errors.
The first is a MH01 [RTL] error.
If I print on a white background it shows this error but prints the image no problem and ejects the platen. I reload the platen and all is good.
When I print with an underbase I get the error, the underbase prints then retracts the platen but freezes the printer showing the error.
In the folder I was given containing the Mutoh drivers there are several files for 64 bit drivers - RJ900C, RJ901C AND RJ900 PRO. No installer though.

In the actual printer menu ( press menu on startup ) I can set the printer to a 900 pro or 901 pro but not sure which it is supposed to be or what the diiference is firmware wise.

I have downloaded a new driver package from Mutoh that contains the pro drivers and the C version drivers for win 64 bit with the installer. However when I use these and try to print I get a message on the printer that says 'converting' and it just sits there.
When I plug the printer in win 7 auto installs it and loads the printer as various variants different each time, but seems to id the printer as a 901c more than anything else.

Can some one tell me what ID the printer is supposed to be set to in the menu and what actual driver is supposed to be loaded.

If anyone has come across this error before did you manage to fix it as I have seen various descriptions of its cause.
I dont have the facility to try the network port as my Dell precision laptop is lacking a lan port.

Cheers
What is the brand and model of your printer?

Re: MH01 errors on M2

not sure if you fixed this...but the platen being ejected or similar could be the sensor at the back on the bed itself. cheap part but a pain!

i had a problem where the 1st pass was fine and then it wouldn't reload for the colour. i couldn't even move the drawer back as the machine was trying to push it out more. and yes i got an error as well. turned out to be that sensor.
