If you buy a Tajima you don't have to worry about Tech Repair Charges. They are build like an anvil. LOL

Re: multiple head recommendation

Buy cheap, buy twice when it comes to Embroidery machines. I've ran a Tajima single head for over 4yrs - it's no trouble and ask yourself this, how many Tajima machines do you see come up for sale on the used market that are recent models - not many, because when it works people stick with it

Re: multiple head recommendation

I see a lot of people like Barudan. Barudan is a great machine, however their customer support is non existent. This is why I say check with company, because Zsk actually offers free training (repairing the machine) if you come to their office.
I have a Barudan, My friend has a Barudan, and another friend has a ZSk. All 3 of us agree that zsk is better. Barudan uses old technology, such as Big bobbin case arm, which is why ZSK and Tajima has an advantage of.

Re: multiple head recommendation

There’s a very, very big difference in quality. I have a Barudan, after having a couple SWF’s, and could never see myself going with another brand ever again. It’s a beast and the price compared to Tajima or ZSK is good.

Re: multiple head recommendation

It actually depends upon what you are planning to embroidery.
If you are going to do embroidery on knitted garments and the designs are placement designs with small letterings and shape. you must go for tajima or barudan (I prefer barudan) and if your designs are big wordings or abstract designs on woven fabric with good count n construction china machines will do.

Basically the difference is in the quality you get for small letterings on woven and knits, where barudan machines are with high precision, stitch the designs well.

I know what you mean about the tech fees and I learned to fix them myself as well. I've been considering to become a tech. I think they get a bigger slice in this industry lol. Thank You

Re: multiple head recommendation

Supply and Demand. The reason that Ricoma and Avance are cheaper than Tajima. If I were you, the only brand I would get is Tajima, Barudan or Zsk. It also depend on what machine tech you have in your area. Or better if you learn to fix your machine( I know this will take time, but it's worth it).
Such as I have a tech, he charges more than $100 an hour, and He didn't fix the machine properly. He messed up the hook timing even more. I fixed my machine, and it runs perfectly now.

Re: multiple head recommendation

Quality of the machine is the big difference. Tajima is a bit over priced. If you want to compare you should do it with barudan or others in that range of quality.

Re: multiple head recommendation

I'm in the process to purchase a 6 heads embroidery machine. I would like to get Tajima, but comparing it to my other 2 options Avance and Ricoma there is a big gap in price, close to 20k. My question is .... What is the big difference? and if I decided to buy the less expensive .... Would I regret it in the long run?
