Re: 3G Jet Opaque

Thank you for the info... Epson ink is Pigment that's why I purchased it but I will definitely check out the cobra Ink. You and others seem to be very happy with them.

Re: 3G Jet Opaque

I do NOT advise you to use Epson OEM ink. I had a terrible problem with gray becoming an olive green color... I went to Cobra ink and I don't have any problem with that since. Buy Cobra Ink's pigment ink it's good stuff -- you really can't use dye ink with shirts bc they will run after washing.

Re: 3G Jet Opaque

I bought a used Epson WF7620 its big but the price was right. I'm still using the ink that came with it. The seller was using LD Ink Cartridge (recycled) no issues yet... but again its only a few weeks and washes. Epson Ink doesnt eem to expensive. I see a many posts about Cobra ink. I'm pretty new here so my experiance is limited

Are you using pigment ink, or OEM dye ink? You want pigment ink for doing shirts.

Was it Enduratex? It's extremely thin and is difficult to apply.

Re: 3G Jet Opaque

Hello everyone, I purchased a roll of 3g jet opaque, and I printed on Yellow shirts and it came out beautifully, just like a screen print. But, I wanted to put an image on a black shirt and you can't even see it. I contacted the company I bought it from and they said that if it didn't leave a white background, it was not the 3g jet opaque and told me to send it back. I loved the way it printed on the yellow so I want to keep it, but they cannot seem to tell me what I have, so my question is: Can anyone tell me what I may have. Here is a description: The paper is printed right reading, then it is peeled away from the backing paper, it is very, very thin. It is so thin, that I have to place it on the shirt away from the heat press because the heat radiating from the press causes it to start softening and curling before I can pull the lever of the press down. if I try to arrange it while on the platen. It is white on the unprinted parts, but when heat pressed on black, the white is barely visible. It was wonderful on the bright yellow, but, I did notice that my blue bill did turn a shade of green. I was printing a black and white barcode symbol on a black shirt. Does anyone have any idea what paper I have?

Re: 3G Jet Opaque

@MoHntr: Nice looking print. How is the hand? And, I don't know if Clay is the person I deal with but coastalbusiness rocks. He/She/They sent me a bunch of samples to try and the customer service is tops. They've got a lifelong customer.

@ashamutt: Thanks for your settings. If/when I get a cutter, I'm sure they'll make more sense. Also, what is " self-weeding HT paper"? Are you referring to Image Clip or something else?

@EneryJenny: I didn't think you could use ink jet paper in a laser printer...?

Re: 3G Jet Opaque

How did the shirt feel when you put it on? was the design thick/stiff? or is it something youd barely notice?
