Re: Epson Garment Creator Software

Were you able to solve this issue? Any tips?
Would you still choose the Epson F2000?

Always recommend that when you seem to have an issue doing a print, and it's new artwork, the best way to troubleshoot it before you spend time exploring all other avenues is just try a test print using other artwork that you have already successfully printed with.

Re: Epson Garment Creator Software

I had it happen to me just today. I always keep my layered .psd files of the design on my computer for this reason (as well as a few others).

I opened up the .psd file, saved a copy as a .png, trashed the old .png file, threw the new one on my usb flash drive and I was printing away.

The photoshop files seem to get corrupted sometimes when going from computer to usb stick/usb hard drive to computer.

On rare occasions there is something in the photoshop file that the DTG software just doesn't like also. That is when you have to dissect the artwork bit by bit and figure out what part of it is corrupt.

This seems to happen sometimes with customer supplied artwork.

it's not an issue with the F2000 or Garment Creator. It happens to me in Illustrator sometimes too.

Re: Epson Garment Creator Software

What format did the customer supply his artwork in? Is that one piece of artwork the only time you saw that error message?

Re: Epson Garment Creator Software

Thanks for all your help. It seems that I'm having problems with one of my clients designs. I've printed one of the designs several times without issue, until the other day. I've had my client redo one his designs and I'm still had problems until I put the design on a thumb drive and all seems to be OK. Didn't know I needed to be an IT specialist!!

Agree on the possible software conflict. Try shutting all your other programs off when you're using Garment Creator on your computer and see if the error message ever shows back up. We have hundreds of F2000 customers communicating with our support department and that error code has not come up.

Re: Epson Garment Creator Software

My guess is that there is a problem with the design. I have had it happen to me 4 or 5 times myself with Garment Creator, just not that exact same error message.

Usually had to redo the artwork or rework it somehow.

If you want to upload it here I am sure one of us could take a look at it for you.

Re: Epson Garment Creator Software

The DF folks tell me not to even have GC and DF installed on the same computer because of the way they share printer drivers and queues.

I run Df on a PC and GC on a Mac.

Re: Epson Garment Creator Software

That's certainly a possibility if you have Garment Creator and that or similar programs open at the same time.

I had that error when I had GC opened in addition to my Kothari RIP software. Once I closed one of them and restarted the print job the issue went away.
