Re: Epson T13 DTG build

Hi, I am done with my r1800 build and still having pe sensor ussues. I have a belt drive system,, while powering up the printer I have the tray disconnected from the belt, therefor the drive shaft spins freely as the printer starts up and it does give me a green solid light, no red blinkers. Next I attache the tray to the belt and pull up the platen under the print head, instruct the printer to print as the tray trips the pe it will move the tray out about 4" while all this time the PE is still open, it will feed the tray all the way out,, at that point the paper feed light comes on. I have the printer set in roll mode and still using the epson firmware. any pointers ??

Re: Epson T13 DTG build

Thank you friend I solved it.
It was all done to perfection. The problem was the software.
I installatto EKPrint study. Now all is well. I did not know that was installed a software suitable for DTG.
Thanks to you I solved everything. Thank you so much.

Re: Epson T13 DTG build

Try printing thorugh RIP, maybe high ress mode has automatic edge detection - this sensor should not be used when printing on DTG. You can try to tape the sensor with black tape also.

Re: Epson T13 DTG build

I followed a tutorial on you tube. But from what I understand lack of video.
Now my dtg works perfectly. I just print normally and not as high. When sending the print in Best Photo mode, it appears that the EP sensor is not never guess the exact location.
Please help me to solve this problem. Tell me where I went wrong and if there is anything I can do.
thank you.

Re: Epson T13 DTG build

You've posted photos of the ASF assembly - that does nothing when converted to DTG - it's only nessecery because firmware checks for it's sensors so it cannot be removed.

Re: Epson T13 DTG build

Thank you for having responded Smalzstein .
Yes, I am referring to the mechanism of the plate when sending the print.
I have seen many tutorials where the plate starts from only until it touches PE sensor.
I have to do everything manually, place the plate on the motor shaft and tap the PE sensor manually.
I found where to place the PE sensor. But it only works when print DEFINITION NORMAL mode.
If I try to print in High Mode, Do not ever guess the exact moment when the PE sensor is triggered.
I can not understand what's the difference between normal mode and high passes.
Excuse my talk ... I am translating with google.
Thank you.

Re: Epson T13 DTG build

Sorry guys, I'm new and I do not understand, even though I am Italian and help with google translator I do not understand all that well.
I would like to ask just one question.
Who pushes the cart up to the pe sensor?
I followed step by step tutorial but ends on the final assembly.
I just need this step. Please do not take me for an idiot, but I would be very grateful for a reply or a post already published. Thank you all. Tony. (Italy)

You need a software like printer jockey. Ekprint RIP also has this functions.
