Default PreTreat enough to………..

Is pretreatment visible enough to scare a costumer/store buyer away? Has anyone tried the Pre-Treat sheets?

We offer in-store steaming and in-store laundry for people who want to pay to have it done.

Inhouse steamer is a very good idea. We were using it initialy for embroidery hoop stains but moved forward to DTG and other areas that need a little touch. Also nice industrial ironing station for the t shirt folding and packing ladies.

But inhouse washing machine is a bit of an overkill in my opinion

Although I was thinking it when I was experimenting with dischrage screen prining but the cost of the final product would be to high. Sticker that says wash before wear is a lot cheaper

I was told that if you can see the pretreat after you cure then your using to much. You should not be able to see the pretreat. Is that true?

WOW - those are expensive! Over $1 per sheet and they only cover a 12 x12 area.

This depends. Some shirts will show the pretreat no matter how much you use. For the most part, though, you should be able to control this by using less pretreat. Some shirts require less, but the threshold is when the white is no longer bright. If you reduce you level to here, the bump it up a little more, it would work.

@allamerican - $0.50 for garment steaming (both sides), $1.00 for garment laundering.

Some customers want ready-to-sell garments, and these costs cover overhead, labor and a small profit.

The washer/dryer is in-house so it isn't a big deal to toss garments in the wash. We do a very gentle no heat tumble dry and then hang dry to finish.

Pretreat stains are a part of DTG. I don't even notice them anymore. Our customer guide mentions them, and our website warns about them.

What if i just used a toby steamer over the pretreat areas after printing? Would that take it away? Or be enough to make the pretreat not visible?
