Default T-Shirts AND Wood options

I have been looking at HeatFX and The Magic touch systems and trying to decide what is best not only for T-Shirts but also to apply full color images on woodworking products like custom clock faces does anyone have experience in this? Or better solutions? Any knowledge on how to protect from UV rays?

edward,
what machines do you have now, include any printers you own/have access to?

sometimes a post just falls through the cracks (this is the first time i have seen your post, and it was made a week ago),
don't give up yet, there are lots of smart people here (but just busy, as they have businesses to attend to)

Just a Silhouette Cameo 3 and Curio and about $2,000 worth of clipart and a Hotronix Autoclam 16x20 heat press. Most of my clipart is full color and looking for ways to use it on woodworking projects. Black & white laser printer Canon MF-212W

if you have a cutter, then oracal 651 is a pretty good all-purpose vinyl
link with video
link for more info

the other option is to print full color decals with a inkjet/laser
(laser you could probably get done at staples/office deopt/etc, if you don't have one)
check this link and this link for info/products available

edit: another option is using vinyl as a stencil and painting
here is a wood sign we made, using the vinyl as a stencil (clear vinyl stencil)

Thanks. Yes using plain white or black vinyl now, 80% of my clipart is full color so was looking for best options to use them on wood projects.

i've experimented with jpss on wood (mdf) with pretty good results
the main issue was getting the colors to hold and not bleed out at the edges

for full color i would get a sample pack of some of the laser for hard substrates and simply print at the local print place
- like this
- or this (inkjet vs. laser)

there is also using this technique which is similar to what you are doing

you can also layer multiple colors of vinyl see here
if you have asomething like gimp (it is free), you can reduce your full color graphics to 3-5 colors (or whatever number you want)

here is a good vid showing a vinyl on wood technique
