Default Printer to use with Laser 1 Opaque Paper?

I want to use this paper Laser 1 Opaque https://www.yolo.co.uk/laser-1-opaqu...paper-70-p.asp

It's certified for use with OKI printers, I'm on a budget and need to pick up a second hand a3 laser printer to use with the paper. I've got about £300

Can anyone recommend a decent laser printer that will work with this paper? Doesn't need to be OKI, just needs to work.

Thanks

Is there a vendor in your area that will demo print on your paper? I don't use Opaque 1. But here is something you can try. When my Oki printer started to go bad on me, I went to office depot with Imageclip Laser for light transfer papers. I asked the salesman if he would print on my paper. I told him to use label paper setting. I wanted to make sure the printer will not jam. The paper went through with no problem. Opaque 1 is thicker so have the salesman set to other settings thicker than label if the paper jams. Using thick paper slows down the printer so that the toner will fuse on the paper. At regular speed on thick paper the fuser is not hot enough that the toner is sticky will that stick on the fuser roller.

The printer is letter size Brother HL3170CDW. I paid $100.00 brand new. I had used it on big orders. I have been using It ever since. It has smaller toner capacity than Oki. But the toner is not as expensive.

I am sure A3 model of Brother is a lot cheaper than Oki.
into the T likes this.

Thanks for your reply, I may well do that.

I'm thinking of getting either of these 2 options at the moment

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HP-Colour...cgL_h0BEqoFo3g

or

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HP-LaserJ...wAAOSw29Jb8L0j

Both are refurbished a3 HP printers

The HP CP5225DN will do the job, as it can print up to 220gsm papers. You can also convert it to a white toner printer if you want.

HP models are recommended by Ghost White for their laser white toner for two pass printing on Laser Transfer for Dark. So it IS safe to say it is Ok to use those models. Just be aware that the drums have plenty of life left.

Again just to be sure find a vendor that sells those models and try out some of your paper. If the paper goes through ok then it is safe to buy the refurbished printer.

Goto Ghost White website and watch videos about HP models. Also Uscutter sells the HP for Ghost White. Watch their video.I

Luis.
