Default Help- need to shut down breeze for weeks- no info

Due to the covid-19 situation in my state I have to close down the shop for... at least a few weeks it appears.

Kornit sent out an email with information describing the steps to take for their printers. Unfortunately they did not include the breeze model in their instructions. The instructions they sent do not match up with a breeze.

Does anybody know the proper steps to shutting down a Breeze. The last thing I want to return to is a machine that does not work.

Please help. Thanks!

Default Re: Help- need to shut down breeze for weeks- no info

Hi
refer to the following procedure:
62-TECH-0034 Breeze 921 Flushing Procedure (WB Ink) for Used Print
Heads (you can found it on Kornit support websitsite or here )

Maybe there are more specific procedures, but the infos in the doc well apply to your needs.

Basically you have to replace ink with priming fluid.
So put priming fluid in the bottles, and follow the procedure in page 3 from "Removing the Ink from the Print Head" on till the end of the page.

Do it for all your ink lines.

At the end you will have priming fluid in the lines and printheads (you need approx one 1,5 liter bottle of priming fluid) .

IMPORTANT: Do not let the printer off for 2 weeks!!!

Every max 5 days go to your shop, add priming fluid in the bottles, power up your printer and do some flushing and purges (both from the discharge value and the print head) to ensure that the print head is still filled with priming fluid and no air.
Also manually wipe the printheads with wiping fluids.

For the next time buy a tool like this one, to help prevent ink from drying:

Ask Kornit tech support if in doubt.

Hope this helps
