Default Kornit printing grey

Hello,

we get view breeze and GTX machines, since we print more with the Kornits (and gtfo GTX) we got the Problem that grey doesn always turn into red/grey or blue/grey with the GTX grey = grey.

Does anyone have a Tip for this Problem?

Thanks

Hi, Schroble,

Can you color sample the grays in Illustrator or Photoshop to get the CMYK values?

Most likely you have to manually decrease the cyan portion of the CMYK profile for blue/gray and likewise magenta/yellow for the red/gray.

If the art is vector, just select the gray object(s) adjust the colors directly. If JPG/PNG, you might have to add a hue/saturation or solid color layer in Photoshop to adjust it.

When this happens to me, I usually make a series of small squares where I adjust the colors little by little to see the effects of my changes. When I find something I like, I adjust the art based upon my tests.

OR, since you're using gray, maybe pull all of the CMY colors out and just work with K until you find a gray you like. Usually the 40-75 range gives you some nice grays.

Good luck!
