[Kornit General] Kornit not capping after printing

Default Kornit not capping after printing

Have an issue with the Kornit, it want go to capping. It looks capped, but warning tab on screen says capping failed.

Any suggestions on how to fix.

Hi...........Dont know if you solved your problem yet, but here are some suggestions.


1. Check air pressure/vacuum ie leaks ,wrong pressures,etc.
shop air - 4 bars
spray 2.5 bars
purge 0.45 bars
2. Check and clean under wiper blades in maintenance tray(ink build up)
3. Try full shut down (machine and computer) for 1 minute and then restart

You could also check the sensor at the block where the maintenance tray support rods connect. On the inside of the block there's a magnetic sensor that will light up when the station is capped. We had this same issue awhile back and it turned out to be a faulty sensor. We picked up a new Inductive Sensor from Festo for 1/3 the price that Kornit was asking. Hopefully your problem is something simpler than this like air pressure but this is another option to check. Good Luck!
