Default White Only Prints - How To????

Hello!

We have just had a Kornit Breeze installed - our biggest client requests a lot of white only prints.

We are having real problems getting them to look any good :s

We are printing with the following settings and having mixed results

Printing onto Gildan Softstyle Black

Any suggested settings?

Thanks,

Nic

Have you guys had Kornit do custom media types for your machine? We have a Kornit Thunder and when they installed it - the tech printed a certain design on a set of white shirts, took it back to the office and they scanned it do make custom media types (W5x5 or D5x5 a for example)

Looking at your screen Shot I would make some changes. you may want to make a custom setting for this if you will be doing a lot of them. First bump the spray up to at least 70% I personally go 78% on gildan. You don't need it set on interlace you can set it to single color mode you can leave it on production if you like but you can do high production with this image no problem. Then I would make my white values 60, 55, 50 doubled with an additional highlight. Basically the white gets hit 3 times. Try that if it's not bright enough try bumping the white values up by 5.

The kornit tech who was there at the install walked me through setting up some profiles and things but nothing custom.

Ah wow perfect, thanks for those settings those have worked much better!

Cheers, Nic

No problem. Making a custom setting is easy start up the breeze software click on the tools drop menu. Select Setup Editor. Once that comes on just put in the settings you want to store. For example just go through each prompt and put in the setting like I mentioned before. You can even turn up the resolution if you like to give it some sharp detail. Just mind you the higher you turn that resolution up it adds to print time. Once you set everything the way you like it save it. But give it a good name so you know exactly what it is. Which will save some time. So now that it's saved all you have to do is seklect that file when setting up a job.

I just purchased a Breeze and of course Gildan's not the best to print on. Did you get better print results over time with different settings?

Absolutely, Every shirt is different. You may want to keep a notebook of what works on what or a couple custom settings. Like the one I mentioned above was called Gildan_all white. And keep in mind even through gildan isn't the best you can still get good results with them.

Hello,

Do you have to highlight on your file, in addition to the WhiteBase?
Can I help you contact me?
