Default Huge issue!

Hello, I am printing on JPSS with pigment ink using a Epson wf 7710. What I've noticed is if I print using plain paper setting (as recommended) I don't get vibrant blacks. On the other hand if I change it to matte paper the black bleeds way too much into other parts of the image but is darker. What am I doing wrong?
Generally I noticed the vibrancy is not that great but I'm using OEM ink for now so can't get an ICC profile.
Please give me your suggestions.. I have a customer order and I can't seem to get it right!
Thank you in advance!
