Default is it old?

doing some transfers with some jpss i bought like a year ago from ebay seller..its been in a sealed tote most of the time, its transfers fine except sometimes it is really tough to peel..the problem im having now is that it wont weed almost at all, i remembered it being much easier to weed..if i get a corner peeled up im lucky if i pull an inch off without it tearing to a hault .... so is this a definitive sign of old jpss??

try heating the bottom platen of your heat press,
then put the jpss on top to warm it, and then try weeding
