Default Transfer tape like for heat transfers?

Hi, I am currently printing out with neenah printable transfer paper and works great. My question is.....I have a titan 2 cutter which has the contour cutting feature. Now, If I print something that has letters or small objects....when I put into shirt I usually need to put a background on the image the color of shirt in order for it all to lift from the neenah paper and on to the shirt in one full image. I don't know if I am explaining myself correctly. What I need is like "transfer tape" like when doing vinyl decals to transfer the whole image at once and not have to use a background. Is there something for using on t shirts? I have one that was given to me by a friend, the image was transferred successfully but when heat pressed and removed from shirt it was way too tacky and a lot of the ink came on with the clear transfer paper. I also waited till it was cold thinking it was a cold peel but nothing. Am I doing something wrong, or is there any other product I am missing? thanks in advance

You can get different grades of application tape with different 'tacky-ness.' Start with something with a very low tack and work up.

If you use heat transfer vinyl, save your clear backing pieces (or sacrafice a piece of vinyl you know you won't use) and use that. It could work.

I use clear contact type paper from Dollar Tree for cutting paper on my Silhouette because the mat is too sticky and doesn't release the paper, but I don't think that would be able to handle heat.

The tranfer tape from vinyl may be legit anything else may melt into your fabric. I have seen a heat tranfer fabric tape like scotch tape before so you can tape down individual letters etc however i cannot remember exactly where I've seen. Might of been stahls, they should sell just about all you need there if not you can purchase from uline maybe.

NO NO NO !!!!!
I bought the magic mask Medium tack to use with the Neenah 3G opaque and it's a nightmare! The carrier sheet of the neenah stays stuck to the mask and ruins the transfer everytime.
It's simply UNUSABLE.
Anyway that Neenah paper is crap, so difficult to peal off and that backing even stays stuck to the transfer material itself, like when you try to remove a paper sticker and some of it stays stuck.
Now I got something similar to the Forever inkjet that has a more plastiky backing that peals more easily. Still failed with the magic mask (stayed stuck to the mask but not as fast as the 3G) but I'm going to try the detape instead to see what happens. It's so frustrating I have to say!

I saw that video where the guy uses the forever inkjet paper with a tape and it does what I'm looking for. Skip to 2:07 and see for yourself:

Okay I watched your video. Now, keep in mind that I have never actually done any of this so my question is an actual question--I'm not trying to refute or troll.

That being said, my question is: Couldn't you weed the background before affixing the mask? And would that solve the problem or not?

With the 3G opaque, off course I did weed out before applying the mask.
There must be a reason why this guy is weeding out after and I'll try both methods as soon as I get my tape and the Forever inkjet paper.

if transfer paper is to sticky you can destick it. I use roller with water. Old t-shirt also works. I don't use Neenah 3G opaque but works for my stuff.
